Amy's full-length freshman project, Looking Up to Him, was inspired by her own need for inner peace and joy. The bible tells us that joy comes in the morning if we would just wait on the Lord. It took Amy several years to complete this project as she struggled to find just the right songs that would fit together, complimenting her theme of "hope," "forgiveness," "true love" found through Jesus Christ, and ultimately, "peace." "What a refuge God Is!" she proclaims. And she wants everyone to know this.
Amy brings to this disk, her own unique blend of contemporary pop, R & B, and country. Her soprano voice lends a soft and smooth approach to her message and her words tell you a story from start to finish. You can truly "feel" her and yet, sink into your own sense of reflection. Amy can't say it enough..."Jesus saves!"
Perhaps you feel a little uninspired and hopeless. Let Amy's God-inspired words and music carry you where your spirit wants to go--needs to go. Allow her music to help you look up to Him, the only One who can carry your load. And with this step, you'll find inner peace as never before.
Trust the message Amy has given us. Be inspired. Be blessed.

about
I wrote this song not in anger, but in the hope that people would realize that unless you've walked in someone else's shoes, don't criticize them for ANY reason. My lyrics say, "You don't know what I've been through... Can you accept me as I am?" So, my message to you is, "We're not perfect, but God loves us still." Be blessed! Amy.
lyrics
You Haven’t Walked In My Shoes
Words & Music by Amy Marie Cheema
Verse 1
Who are you to criticize me, who are you to judge
Who are you to point your finger
You’re not the perfect one, and you’re not sinless
God loves you still…
Verse 2
If you look beyond this makeup, you’ll see a fragile little girl
I can hide and no one finds me
But my God who knows me well, and I’m not sinless
God loves me still…
CHORUS
You haven’t walked in my shoes
You don’t know what I’ve been through
You can’t get inside my head
I don’t expect you to understand
Can you accept me, and love me as I am
Verse 3
Thank you, Lord, for your acceptance, Your love is unconditional
You love me just like a sparrow
You made my broken wings take flight
Can you accept me, and love me as I am
CHORUS
